Uploading files to your website

Once you have your web site built, you'll need to get it from your computer to the web server. To do this you'll need to use an FTP program to upload the files for your website to your public_html directory on the server. When uploading your site make sure that you have a file called index.html. This will be the default (front) page of your website. If you do not have an ftp program, we recommend CuteFTP for Windows or Fetch on the Macintosh.

After logging in

When you first log in to your account you'll see one or two folders. public_html is where your web site files need to be in order for them to be visible from the web. The other folder is your cgi-bin directory (if your account is so equipped) which is where you put any kind of CGI script you need.
